It’s possible to know Jesus in the wrong way. The people of Nazareth knew Him, but in the wrong way. Familiarity with God can prevent us from entering new realms with Him and can prevent us from moving into the supernatural. What you already know can be a huge stumbling block to what God is wanting to give you. What you don’t know is just as important as what you already know. You must value them both the same.

For instance, the Cross can be a deterrent to the supernatural. Why? Because you can become so familiar with Jesus who died on the cross that you don’t recognize Jesus who rose in power. Sometimes we become so familiar with the God who saves, that we cannot recognize and accept the God who heals. We become one dimensional in our beliefs when ALL things are possible with Him. Its possible to be historically correct and experientially wrong.

Honor is almost extinct in the day we live. Recently as I watched a little of the Royal wedding, I began to think what a waste of time and money. In my heart I was being cynical about the entire extravaganza. At that moment the Lord spoke to me and said, “Your culture no longer values honor”. It really caught me off guard. As I contemplated that word, I realized how true it was. Most of our culture is based upon dishonor. Most news programs and talk radio is mostly about dishonoring someone else. We have come to the place where we actually honor dishonor. The Bible is very clear about the importance of honor. In the NKJ the word honor is used 178 times. We are called to honor all people not just the ones we agree with. The Bible says, “give honor to whom honor is due”.

I want to see honor restored to the sons and daughters of God. I want the church to be a community of honor that creates a culture of honor.
Honor is not merely being nice to one another. Has to do with value. Honor is showing value to another. Honor elevates the status of others. If you give honor, you will receive honor.

Honor carries with it great rewards. Honor is the key to either full or partial reward. Honor is the essential key to receiving from God.
Honor or dishonor can be displayed in thought, deed or word, but all honor originates in the heart.

I long for the day when His glory is experienced not only in a spiritual meeting, but is embraced and enjoyed and released 24/7. You will always release what you most aware of. Heaven is full of hope and the world is full of fear. You will always release the atmosphere you are most aware of. That’s why fear and anxiety are so detrimental. Because it releases that which the world already hates but has no alternative for. The alternative is you. Christ in you, His goodness made manifest.

Five years after Pentecost, Peter moved into another level of anointing. His shadow began to release the presence of Jesus to such an extent, that the city was greatly affected. Five years of walking in His presence. Pressing through rejection, persecution until endurance began to perfect him. What was the result? Glory moved from something He experienced to something he released.

He is summoning us into a new way of life. New ways of living not just new experiences at church. If its hard for you to step into at church, it will be impossible for you out there. We must learn to do some things where it’s the safest and easiest so we can do it out there when the resistance is much greater.

Goals, giftings and ambitions are all legal, but they’re not all that great. It’s awesome to see someone healed. It is incredible to see people saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. But it all pales in light of His glory manifested. Anyone who has ever experienced the glory, you long for nothing else. You’re ruined for religion.

Let the greatest ambition you have, be for His presence. Like Joshua, stay as long as possible. Religious activity will pale in light of His glory and grace. May you be ruined for religion and made fully alive unto His presence and may you like Moses declare, “if Your presence doesn’t go with me, I am not going”.

One of the ways you can begin to have an encounter is by paying attention to what God is doing to others. You can walk into a church meeting cold and scattered and if you can recognize God is touching another person or a group of people, its an invitation to you. You should never turn a cold shoulder or be cynical to what God is doing among people. Often, God will give to someone else what you have ask for. Sometimes He will release the very thing you have cried out for, on them and the only way you can get it is from them. He just works that way, because He likes to keep us connected. He puts us in positions to see if we will value one another.

Its one thing to say the presence of the Lord is the most important thing in my life and value being in His glory. But it’s equally important to recognize that presence on you and value it the same. You will know the presence of the Lord is of supreme value when you learn to recognize it on somebody else and press into their breakthrough for yours.

Everything evolves around valuing the presence.

Question: Who do you think is going to look more like Jesus? The person who has been saved and attending church faithfully for 30 years and has read the Bible thru 10 times. Or the person who has been saved for one year and longs for and lives continually with the awareness of His presence. Answer; the one who lives for and longs for His presence. You’re not changed by the years or religious activity you’re changed by encountering His presence. You’re not changed by pursuing your ministry or mission, your changed by encountering His presence. Your not changed by what you have seen or witnessed in meetings. You can faithfully attend church and Bible studies for 50 years and stay the same. You’re only changed by encountering His presence personally. For everything else, you can stay the same but you can’t have an encounter with His presence and stay the same.

You say; “I just don’t know how to have an encounter”. “I don’t feel like God is even near to me”. What do I do? I am so weak spiritually.

First, Stop looking for a reason to stay the same. Are you learning more or experiencing more? Often we mis-interpret learning more as the key to transformation which is very deceptive. It puts us in the position to agree with things we have not experienced and leads us to assume we are more like Jesus because we know something.

Experiencing His presence, His Word, His revelation not as a spectator or intellectual but as a passionate lover of His presence, produces transformation. Quit looking for a good reason to stay the same is the first step. More tomorrow. Walk out a spiritual truth today that if God doesn’t come through, you will be totally embarrassed. Then you will start to step into a life of faith that God intended for you to live. Blessings!

The Kingdom of God
Col.1:12-13 … giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.

At salvation, we did not just get access to heaven. We received entrance “into the kingdom of the Son he loves.” The word “kingdom” comes from two words: king and dominion. Anywhere the king has dominion, therein lies the kingdom. Dominion does not just refer to power. It refers to everything about the king being reflected in his kingdom. It is a mindset, a pattern of thinking, a culture.

Because Pharaoh valued Joseph, everyone in the kingdom of Pharaoh valued Joseph. All the dignitaries of Egypt accompanied Joseph when he returned to Canaan to bury his father Jacob. But in Ex.1:8 it says, “Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt.” Because the king changed, the kingdom would also be changing. The result was four hundred years of slavery for Joseph’s people.

Here’s a principle to consider—the Lord would usually rather us grow in faith and in wisdom than to need prophetic revelation for every thing we do. If He had to send us an angel to tell us specifically to move somewhere, it may not have had anything to do with the importance of our move as much as it did with the dullness of our hearing. If it takes another angel to get us to move from there when our time is up, it could be because we’re still dull.

If we are wise, we will guard against thinking that because He did something one way, or spoke to us in a certain way, that we can expect the same again. I think we would be much better off to understand that “He is new every morning” (see Lamentations 3:23). This does not mean that He ever changes, but that there is so much more to Him that we cannot reduce Him down to our own narrow-minded concepts. In a relationship when we become too set in our ways, it will become boring and lukewarm. Our God is so awesome that those who stay close to Him will never be bored!

Psalm 78:9-11 (New King James Version)
9 The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows,
Turned back in the day of battle.
10 They did not keep the covenant of God;
They refused to walk in His law,
11 And forgot His works
And His wonders that He had shown them.

When we forget His works and His wonders, we quit living out of the testimony of Jesus and move into a place of unbelief that causes us to retreat in the day of battle even though we are equipped for battle. All Pastors and leaders want their people to be passionate about God. Why is it not working generally speaking? Because far too many leaders have not experienced the supernatural that exposes them to the invasion of power into impossible situations so they have no stories of supernatural acts of God.

When you stop telling the stories, you reduce expectations. With no expectations, you then establish a theological belief system that supports your unbelief and justifies your ineffectiveness. Without the stories, you wont take risk. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophesy.

My Dad went home to be with the Lord around 11:15 a.m. on March 10, I was heading to the Life Care Center when my phone rang. Mom said, “He’s gone. He just passed.” I jumped in my vehicle to take the six minute drive to the facility. Immediately I was upset with myself, as I had said for years that I wanted to be in the room when Dad went home to be with the Lord. I had missed the opportunity by about ten minutes or so.

Little did I know that one of the main leaders of the Omega youth ministry was in the room at the time of Dad’s passing. Jason had wanted Dad to impart a special blessing to him, but because of his schedule and Dad’s condition, it seemed it would not occur. But this particular day, the Lord told him that, instead of going to lunch, he should immediately go see Fred at Life Care. When I entered the room, Jason had been crying, and he was being moved by the Glory of the Lord. He said, “I was disappointed that Fred never was able to pray for me. But while I was driving here the Lord kept giving me the verse He gave to Elisha when Elijah was about to depart, “If you shall see me when I am taken up, you shall receive…” Moments before Dad departed, Jason had spoken in Dad’s ear, telling him that the words he preached would not fall to the ground and would be carried on by the next generation. Dad’s lips began to move as though he was trying to say something. Within moments, Dad breathed his final breath. That is when the anointing came over Jason.

We must never forget those who paved the way for us through fasting, prayer, obedience, and preaching of the Gospel.

I was upset that I had not been in the room, but I heard a word from deep in my spirit that I know was the voice of the precious Holy Spirit:

“Son, you already received a special impartation from Rufus Dunford at age 18, and you carry the DNA of your father. He prayed thousands of prayers for you from the time you were born. His impartation must go to others that will be linked to where I am leading you in the future.”

Someone heard this and became critical saying, “How can a person impart when they cannot even speak?” Ask the man who was raised from the dead when he was dropped in the grave of a dead prophet named Elisha. When the dead soldier touched the bones of the prophet, he came back to life (2 Kings 13:21). Someone said, “Well, your father wasn’t Elisha.” No, he was Fred, but anyone who attempts to downplay the anointing on Dad’s life simply didn’t know him or sit under his ministry. Dad could speak in countless dialects through the Holy Ghost (in tongues) and then interpret what the Spirit was saying. He saw events prior to them happening. He saw people healed through the prayer of faith, including sixteen people who were healed of cancer, just since he lived in Cleveland, Tennessee. All of this describes Fred Stone. He was my dad, so I knew him well. I prayed with him, and he traveled with me. I know these stories to be fact. I am also aware of dreams where he received warnings of certain national events, and his dreams gained the attention of men in high positions in our nation.

I personally saw as many as eight of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:7-10) operate through his ministry in one service alone! This is why those that knew him desired that he pray with them before his departure, in the same manner as Jacob blessed his sons (Gen 49). Anyone asking for an impartation always receives according to the faith of the person who is the seeker.

On behalf of my family, we want to express our gratitude for the e-mails, letters, cards, phone calls, and flowers that have poured in. Also, we want to thank those who sent a Memorial Gift for the Omega ranch in Dad’s name. We are going to put a “Hall of Faith” in the new center, where we will tell the stories of many different men and women of God. Of course, Fred Stone’s story will be part of this. We must never forget those who paved the way for us through fasting, prayer, obedience, and preaching of the Gospel. Thank you for honoring a great man.

Sincerely,

Perry Stone

The Word carries its own ability when planted in good soil. Ability can only be realized in good soil. The Scripture “Nothing is impossible with God”, states this very fact. The word “nothing” means no ramah and “impossible” means without ability. Therefore the verse actually says, No Word of the Lord comes to me without its own ability to perform itself. When He speaks He creates. When He speaks to your heart He is creating.

We tend to look for concepts and ideas so we can get it mentally and not get it spiritually. If you chose to process intellectually, you will not be transformed. If you only feed yourself on things you understand and agree with, then you have stunted your own spiritual growth. When you only say amen or nod your head to the things you comprehend then you just decided to live an inferior Christian life…….Because you just fashioned God in your image, You create a God you can fully understand.
